I have had my Genie for a month it helps to be able to sleep upright. I have Sleep Apnea
and hopefully this will help, with my CPAP machine. The only drawback is that,my mattress slips off, because it as well as my box springs are covered. A cloth cover might solve that problem. I sew so maybe I'll make a cover.

I'm replacing the old one that I had to pump up every night. Now that chore is history--and the hose LOCKS to the pump, so that's a great improvement.

I have been sleeping on my left side for 11 years due to a back fusion surgery. The pain wakes me at night at which point I sleep sitting up the rest of the nigh. Then I got a CPAP to top it off so thought this was the answer. Problem: Do not get the thin one unless you are a really small person. Unfortunately my pain comes from laying down for too long and "sitting" for too long so I rid myself of one pain and simply replace it with another. I have to return it and just deal with it.

My need was for a means to provide adjustable bed for my husband when we travel. He is a stroke survivor and cannot sleep on a flat bed. We have used this device once and it performed well.

inflates easily, deflates or goes flat very slowly (for the latter, it was faster to disconnect, lean on the wedge & help it to deflate). Looks sturdy and elevates as I expected. It's nice to be able to change the level of inflation easily.

I am so glad I tried this. I got it in the king size. I love it! I was a little skeptical that it would work easily and properly. The installation proved to be quite easy, and it works very well. I love the ease of adjustability it gives us---that we can adjust the incline any time we want to. Was delighted to find that it helps alleviate snoring. And, it is very nice for reading in bed.
It deflates and flattens out very quietly, so one can go to sleep on an incline, and later in the night reduce the incline if desired. The control sits handily on the bedside table and has slightly fluorescent buttons. In addition to the inflation button, there is a button to hold down if you want it to deflate to a certain degree, and another button to press if you want it to go entirely flat on its own. No more buttons, no more choices, which I think is VERY good. Simple. If you decide to hit "flat" while you are laying on it, you may at some point want the subtle little shifts and minor sounds of slow deflation to just go away. You can just hit the "inflate" button once and that will reseal it, without activating the vacuum-cleaner like sound of inflation, and any slow-deflation-related shifts and minor noises will cease. As someone else mentioned, it is very loud when inflating and sounds like a vacuum cleaner. It does inflate quickly and efficiently.

Due to having a heart condition, I must sleep upright. Was looking for a wedge to replace bunchy pillows. The wedges looked good but since they are rigid they are not adjustable. I really do not have the budget for a hospital or adjustable bed - nor do I really want a clunky, ugly bed. Spotted the video for Mattress Genie and was thrilled that it works with my foam mattress on basic frame. Now I have the perfect bed - for a fraction of other contraptions! The first night I slept better immediately! Set up and operation is a snap. Inflates rapidly and great support - but deflating is slow and the pump sounds like a vacuum cleaner. But for what this product provides and the affordable price point at just over $150 for full size - - these are minor issues.

This is a good quality, well made procuct and would probably work great on a single mattress and maybe even a twin but on a queen size mattress it was to unstable. Two people have to be in the bed at all times and even then the mattress is wabbly. The one I had would never inflate to reading height. My wife didn't like it at all so I returned it.
