"5 Stars - I Love my Mattress Genie! I have had my Mattress genie for 5 days and I absolutely love it! WOW, the comfort is unbelievable! I fell and fractured a rib on my right side a month ago. I had been sleeping in a recliner and decided to look into buying an adjustable bed. I was lucky to find the Mattresss genie. I am so thankful I ordered it. I have not slept in my recliner since I've received it. The very firsat night I slep on it, I slep 8 hours. I was so amazed when I woke up and saw that I had slep for such a long time. For the price of it...it is unbelievable. The knee wedge is nice also. I highly recommend the Mattress genie. if you don't want to spend a ridiculous price for an adjustable bed. ...this is a great price for the comfort and relaxation! Buy it, you will love it too!...Contour Living Customer

This product is a Godsend since I have GERD that sometimes gets quite severe, where I need to have the bed raised quite high, much higher than a foam wedge. It's also easier to sleep on than a wedge as it's easy to roll off a wedge. Also, I found my wedge was too short for my torso, though I'm not that tall. I was worried that this would have a bad chemical smell, since I am sensitive to chemicals, but I have not had any problem at all with the smell. There was a slight smell the first day, when I aired it out, but I have not noticed any smell after that since I started using it the next day. I like that you can adjust it to any angle, as my GERD changes night to night and I need different angles every night. The only problem I have with it is that it's so noisy to inflate, so I can't do that after my husband is asleep if I find that I need it to be higher that night. I like how easy it is to inflate and deflate it.

The Mattress Genie does an excellent job of lifting a mattress to the desired height. Great alternative to higher end beds, but you get the lift needed, just not as smooth.
In my case, the pump is louder than a vacuum cleaner when filling - UP position, no sound on Down or flat button. Not sure if this is usual, but it sounds like something is out of spec inside. Its only been a few days for me, so I'm not sure if I can continue to bear the sound.
Other than that, it's great!
Customer Service Response:
It is normal for the motor to make a sound only during deflation. When you are deflating it or using the Flat function, basically what happens is a valve inside opens which allows the air to escape. Most customers compare the noise to a hair dryer, but fortunately it is only during inflation.

We got this for my Mother who can't sleep flat. She has a foam mattress and we worried it would be too heavy to lift but it worked fantastic! The only thing we noticed is that she's a widow in a full size bed so the empty side inflates faster and deflates slow on the empty side of the bed and tips her. We told her to lay in the center to help with that.

This order contains the second and third Mattress Genies for our family. We all love them. The first one was bought 4 years ago and is still going strong.

I am so thrilled to have found this state of the art alternative to a hospital bed for my 95 year old mother. It provides an awesome lift mechanism, which is so easy to operate, and truly does the job in such a comfortable manner. My mother has been sleeping great, and I was so easily able to adjust the height so that is perfect for her, preventing discomfort of a large hiatal hernia and the resultant acid reflux, pain, and indigestion that can occur. She is experiencing great sleeps once again...no plethora of pillows to try and create the lift. Thank you for this marvelous creation. Now my mother gets to keep her super queen size bed, and does not have to be confined to a smaller hospital bed to create the head and back lift she needs.
Grateful! Feeling really blessed to have been guided to this great solution!

Good product. Noisy to inflate, lopsided when only one person is in the bed.

The Genie exceed our expectations. It works great with our 14 inch mattress on our queen size bed. My wife recently had heart surgery and needs to change bed positions often to be comfortable. The Genie works great.

So far everything has worked as promised. Ease of assembly and wedge worked to perfection.

Unless it is on twin bed or there are two people on the bed, person must be in middle of bed for this product to raise evenly. Otherwise the side person is not on raised and the other side is low putting person about to roll out of bed.

Debated for a while as to trying this product as opposed to getting an electric frame for the mattress.Contour's Mattress Genie hits the spot to make sitting up in bed and sleeping better.

I have slept better the last two weeks since I got the Contour Mattress Genie Motorized Bed Wedge. Did have loss of air in the mattress when we first received it. Contacted Contour and it was taken care of quickly and problem is now solved.

Product takes forever to deflate as there is no motor to do so, just a valve opening and letting the air out. It is a poor substitute for an adjustable bed. I will probably return it.
