Next Generation CPAPMax Sleep Apnea Pillow

People on CPAP often have a tough time with keeping their mask sealed, and think the problem is with their mask. Users often times end up tightening their straps to keep it in place, try different masks, and even research ways to help keep it in place. However 9 times out of 10, the problem is not the mast, but simply the interference they get from their pillow which causes the mask to shift and leak on them. By developing a pillow that puts your mask in a pressure-free rest zone, your mask never touches your pillow, keeping it in place all night long. Combined with the CPAPMax bed pillows adjustable height, allows you to keep your head, neck and spine aligned to promote optimal air flow to help improve. The CPAPMax pillow is designed for side, back or stomach sleepers to improve their comfort with cpap, which helps improve their compliance. The CPAP Max pillow is great but the pillow case is just a little too small.

    Not what I expected

Posted by Peggy S. on 3rd Jun 2014

I have used this pillow for 5 or 6 nights now, and each am I wake up with a stiff neck. I took the extra layer out after the first night, however I think my neck is too short for the space to fit into the hollow in center. The quality and pillow case it nice, it does not fit my head and neck correctly.

    Customer Service Response:
I do apologize that the pillow is not working as you expected it to. As we do note the removable middle layer to create a smaller height pillow, alongside that you can take out the bottom layer of the pillow as well, which may be what you need to help with your neck for a better fit.

Pillow works wonders for CPAP user

Posted by Ed and Joan on 30th May 2014

My husband is using the CPAP pillow and after a few-day adjustment period, loves it. Since I must now use a CPAP machine, we ordered a second pillow and I have been using it until my machine comes. Again, after a few days, I find it very satisfactory and feel it will be a plus when my CPAP machine arrives.
The one suggestion I have is to increase the size of the pillow case as it is difficult to button even with the middle insert taken out. It was almost impossible to close with the insert inside the pillow and I feel that the buttons might pop off.

    Happy Husband!

Posted by DJDaigneau on 5th May 2014

No more leaking air to wake-up my husband! The hose cover cuts down on the noise as well. Previously the hose would make a strumming noise when it dragged against the metal bed frame. The issues other people had with the weight of the hose cover has been solved with a tether on the pillow.

Next Generation CPAPMax Sleep Apnea Pillow

Posted by Betty K. on 20th Mar 2014

This pillow doesn't give. When I lay on it, my neck feels like I'm getting a crook in it. I tried taking out the middle form, but that didn't help much. So I put it under the pillow & it worked a little better. The CPAPMax Form Fitted Pillow Case may have something to do with it also. If I button the two buttons, the pillow is not giving at all. If I unbutton them, it does give some, but I still have problems with my neck hurting, no matter which side I lay on.

    Pillows works as advertised

Posted by Robert M. Lorenz on 28th Feb 2014

I find the pillow comfortable and it works very well in keeping my mask in place with the contours of the pillow. I am not crazy about the hose cover that was in the package as it seems to make the hose more cumbersome to move around at night, but overall so far I am very satisfied with the pillow itself.

    uncomfortable but a good idea

Posted by Dawn Chianese on 25th Feb 2014

the pillow is a good idea with having two comfort sides and cutouts in each side for the mask, but both sides are so hard and very uncomfortable. The cutouts do make it easier to sleep on your side but getting comfortable enough to actually fall to sleep is the trick,The hose cover is a good idea also but the fabric used is way too heavy so it drags the hose to the floor,

Customer Service Response: We normally recommend a 2-3 day break in period for the foam. The one side is constructed of memory foam, so the cooler the temps the firmer it does become until your body heat is transferred to the pillow . We do have other CPAP pillows you may be interested in as well, specifically the Contour CPAP Pillow.

    Great Pillow

Posted by D. Mihm on 29th Jan 2014

The pillow is great but the hose cover is just adds weight to the hose. The wipes are okay but not needed. The pillow kit should just come with the pillow and the cover......forget the hose cover and the wipes.

    It does help

Posted by Contour Living Customer on 22nd Jan 2014

I'm new to this CPAP stuff, I've had back surgery and had the CPAP dropped on me 2 months after the fusion of 4 disks. So turning over on my side is difficult. Once I do I stay there a while. The cut outs make this a position I can stay in for a few hours nightly. The pillow is firm and takes a little getting used to. I would recommend this to anyone who sleeps on their side.
