The pillow fail to fit my body, therefore, I am not able to use it as intended.

I currently sleep on a fairly firm high quality mattress. But I have a sinus problem which requires that I remain in at least a 45 degree sitting position as I sleep.
I tried the Back-Max system, & found it to be very sturdily made, with heavy duty zippers & good quality ticking.
But the foam was not resilient enough for comfort, even after it had "relaxed" from the packaged state for 48 hours. I suspect that the memory-foam layer is too thin, because the overall condition can only be described as "stiff", rather than "firm".
I found it necessary to return the product. Comfort Living was quite courteous & helpful, but return shipping was my responsibility & was expensive, due to the size.

We bought this product for my husband who is recovering from major surgery. He is sleeping in a recliner as he gets short of breath when in a prone position and we thought he could use this product in bed. It is really too big to go on the bed - he felt too high up - had nowhere to put his arms comfortably and it is too firm. Instead I am using it on the floor to support my back when I watch TV.

I have to sleep on my back after my surgery and I normally sleep on my stomach, so when I saw this online and figured I would try it out, the shipping was free! (and quick too!) As soon as I got it, I unpacked it, laid it out on my bed and tried it out. I found it was incredibly comfortable and it made sleeping on my back a whole lot easier. I use the pillow as a lower back support and I would recommend it to everyone.

I sleep great no aches and pain. No tossing and turning. Can breathe soo much better now, too. I leave set up on the bed....I have a heated throw on top of then cover it with a flat sheet, works awesome...I did have to unzip the foot portion for my legs to fit comfortably, but it is still awesome.

I broke my back in '03. A few years after that I started sleeping in a recliner because I couldn't bear to lay flat in my bed. I have been in the recliner for 6 yrs. With the Backmax I am back in my bed and sleeping great! I would recommend this product to anyone with chronic back pain.

This wedge is a well built and firm product. I am a 6ft 5 inch man in my 40's with lower lumbar problems. The wedge is built for someone quite shorter. My girlfriend is 5'6" and fits her well. Unzipped works okay for me but gets slid down in my sleep. All and all just using the upper portion does help my back but wish I would have known that before paying 250 dollars for something I can only use half of.

Contour Body Max is the greatest. Finally, I can get some sleep, breathe easily, stop sinus drainage into lungs, & stops choking on acid reflux from laying flat. I highly recommend it.
I love it & recommend it anyone who suffers from acid reflux and/or sinus drainage.

My son has both the Original Backmax Body Wedge and now the inflatable version. He, unfortunately, has an auto-immune disease (AS) that doesn't allow him to lay flat. Before we found this product, it was almost impossible for him to travel - he had to sleep at home or at college where we had a specialized bed that folds the head and foot of the bed into a "V" shape. We couldn't go on a family vacation, nor could he visit remote friends, go to the beach overnight, stay with his brother in NYC, etc. These products have really been a God send and have contributed greatly to his mental state. One suggestion for making your product even better is to provide "expansion strips" of variable lengths to allow more space between the two large wedges. They could be zipped into place by attaching to the existing zipper. We have had both of ours altered by a seamstress to allow a total distance of 9 inches between the end of the back wedge and the beginning of the leg wedge for him to be comfortable. BTW, my son is only 5' 8". I truly think others would benefit from this customization capability as well. Thanks again for a great product!

My Partner will soon be 88 and he fell 3 times over the past 4 months. Shattered his elbow on his first fall and broke his hip on his last fall. Trying to keep him propped up in bed has been a disaster. Now we just get him on the Contour wedge system and he is there to stay. No more sliding down and having to be pulled back up what seemed like every few minutes. Well worth the price for his comfort and my back....

I just had shoulder surgery and needed something to elevate my upper body per doctors recommendations, was going to purchase a wedge pillow, but decided on this due to it versatility and firmness adjustment. So far, so good, I'm using it in the "Zero Gravity" setup like the picture shows and I must say it's very comfortable. When I'm done my wife want to use it to relieve her sciatic pain and acid reflux.

I have a variety of things that require positioning myself in order to sleep - respiratory issues (need head raised); bad arthritis in one of my hips; lower back pain. I was sleeping on a recliner but could no longer do so. I was in the hospital but even the hospital beds couldn't prevent the lower back pain. When I saw this product, I realized it was the same shape as a recliner and that it would support my lower back, keep my head raised and reduce hip pain. I add another pillow under my hip. The first night I used this product, I slept wonderfully through the night. And have done so ever since. The only issue I have is that it is a bit hard to get into but, obviously, I manage. In short, I'm thrilled with this purchase. It provides superb support. I highly recommend!

I have had back problems all my adult life. Five years ago I had to have spinal surgery which left me unable to lay down without pain. I researched for anything that would help me. The BackMax Body Wedge did just that. I can now rest my back during the day and sleep without pain all night long. It puts you in the ultimate Zero Gravity position, so there are no pressure points and it positions your spine the way nature intended. It truly changed my life!! Thank you so much for this wonderful product.

I have been blest with Sleep Apnea so I've been using a CPAP machine, for a long time. The CPAP caused a permanent sore throat due to it's pumping air down my throat all night, and I had a Humidifier on it. I'm happy to report that I'm no longer using the CPAP. and my sore throat has gone away, thanks to the Back Max Body Wedge.
I learned, while in the hospital for surgery, that I did not need the CPAP, as long as I elevated my upper torso, and set my legs up for correct circulation, using their adjustable hospital bed.
When I got home I was going to get one of those beds. The cost stopped that pursuit. So I tried various combinations of cushions and wedges, to try to achieve the same effect. But these arrangements had one big problem - they changed their configurations throughout the night, causing me to constantly awake and reposition them. The only one that didn't shift was the Back Max Body Wedge.
This unit sets me in the correct position - and holds it throughout the night. As a result, I'm getting a full night's sleep without interruptions. It's the most comfortable arrangement I've had in the past 30, or so, years.
Good job Contour Living!
I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyable sleep! (so's my wife - who no longer has to listen to all that racket the CPAP made)
Update: Before you discard your CPAP, see your prescribing physician and do a BOL (Blood Oxygen Level) test. I did, and we found out that I was not getting the optimum level, which is why the CPAP was originally prescribed. So, I'm back on the CPAP, after making some adjustments to it to relieve the sore throat (my wife's not happy, but....).
Thanks to the Back Max, I'm still getting a much more comfortable sleep, and that persistent minor backache that I used to get every morning, is gone!

My husband had cancer surgery and must sleep upright. We tried a variety of wedges and cushions, but none worked. We slept in recliners for awhile because we couldn't find anything that worked. This is the perfect height. It is comfortable. He doesn't slide down while he is sleeping. It keeps him in a natural position. It is wide enough so he can rest his arms on the wedge. He is sleeping much better. Thank you.

i got the foam contour max for post rotator cuff surgery. It has been a great help and I can't wait to try other configurations after i am out of the sling. We have a king size bed and there is no problem . I use a twin sheet on it and one over it. It is currently sitting on top of the king bottom sheet and the king top sheet has been scooted towards the middle so my husband can move easily on his side
