This is better than expected. The options to change this up are great and the standard set up is very comfortable for all that have tried it. THe person that has back issues and tried it was extremely happy with how comfortable this is. Others commented that it seems hard - we felt that it was just right - if it were softer, it would not be as supportive as you would need.

The foam wedge supporting the back does not retain its shape. My upper wedge has a decided-slant/compression, causing my body to slide out of the center towards the left. Stronger, more shape-holding foam is need. ** CONTOUR LIVING RESPONSE ** John -

I have slept in a recliner for 2 yrs due to a back injury. I thought this would simulate the positioning for my bed. The upper body portion is (was) too high for sleeping for me. I removed 5 of it and now it works great!! They should offer different heights

For resting on a couch its nice, but it really needs to be wider for anyone who is a restless sleeper, like maybe 36 wide, or Id really love a full size one for my bed.

My husband bought this for me as a gift. Im pregnant and have bad heartburn/acid reflux and cannot sleep flat. This is sooooooo comfortable and places me in a much more comfortable position to sleep to prevent heartburn.

I have to sleep on sitting position as recommended by my Doctor due to severe reaction to GERD (ACID REFLUX), since 2 months ago. I purchased this bed and it works like a charm, together with the 7"" SLEEP BETTER BED WEDGE PILLOW -also purchased at Amazon. I set the bed backrest over the wedge pillow and i got the perfect high for my decent sleep. Im 5 5, 125 pounds, and i fit well in the bed, even that my feet are a little bit over the edge. I purchased EXTRA LARGE Twin Sheet Set to cover the bed. I like firm mattress, so, i like the firmness of the bed, that other customers reviews are not happy about that. I think this bed is size limited and that is not fair, because it should be an option for everybody. Worth the money.

Pros: (1) I am 6 months pregnant and have problems sleeping on my back as well as on my sides. The Contour Backmax Support System allows me to sleep for longer periods of time on my back while keeping my chest and legs elevated allowing for adequate circulation. (2) It is light and portable; the support system can easily be moved from room to room. Cons: (1) The Contour Backmax Support System is not wide enough to comfortably relax your arms. I have to use two bed pillows on the sides of the back support system to accommodate my arms. (2) The back support system is more comfortable when used on the floor rather than on the bed.

This is a big help for my low back issues. I use it in the evenings when I watch TV in bed--I just put it on top of the mattress. Adding a pillow behind my head makes it more comfortable to see the TV. If you are a really wide person, you might have trouble fitting on it. I know this is lazy, but a cupholder would have been nice!

It is actually one of the most comfortable products Ive ever had. I did have some problems with Customer Support. The Back Max Countour Pillows zip together and my zipper broke right after I got it. It makes it harder to use the pillows correctly
